More Than Just a Martial Art: Experience the Life-Changing Power of Jiu Jitsu!
At Gym Jitsu Allen, our Adult MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) program is built for students who want to combine Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and striking disciplines into a complete martial arts skill set. Whether your goal is fitness, self-defense, or competition, our structured approach ensures you develop strong fundamentals before stepping into full MMA training.
Many gyms rush students into MMA sparring before they’ve built a solid foundation. At Gym Jitsu Allen, we take a smarter, safer, and more effective path:
Master the Fundamentals – Every student begins by training the core disciplines individually:
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ): The art of ground control, submissions, and positional dominance.
Striking Arts (Boxing, Kickboxing, Muay Thai): The art of distance, timing, and effective offense/defense.
Integration into MMA – Once students have developed baseline skills in both striking and grappling, we guide them into MMA-specific training: wall work, takedown defense, striking into takedowns, and ground-and-pound strategy.
Live MMA Training – Students progress to supervised MMA sparring only after demonstrating proficiency in both disciplines. This creates safer, more confident, and technically skilled athletes.
This philosophy ensures you don’t just “train MMA”—you build true martial arts depth that translates to real performance inside and outside the cage.
Our MMA curriculum blends the best elements of striking and grappling into a comprehensive training system:
Boxing fundamentals adapted for MMA range and glove size.
Kickboxing and Muay Thai for effective striking, clinch work, and low-kicks.
Defensive tools including parries, head movement, and footwork.
Transition drills: striking into clinch, striking into takedowns.
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu adapted for MMA (positional control under strikes).
Wrestling-based takedowns, sprawls, and cage pressure.
Ground-and-pound mechanics with safety and precision.
Defensive grappling: escapes, reversals, and wall get-ups.
Combining striking and grappling seamlessly.
Learning how to control pace, range, and rhythm.
Wall drills: wall wrestling, takedown defense, and clinch control.
Controlled MMA sparring with emphasis on strategy and application.
